The communal justices of the peace were formally incorporated into the National Public Consultation of the Amnesty Bill for Democratic Coexistence.
The meeting took place in the spaces of the Guayana Esequiba Theater, in San Bernardino.
“This meeting had the leading participation of our communal justices of the peace, who contributed their territorial vision to strengthen the mechanisms of justice and national reconciliation,” said a publication from the legislative channel.
During the day, the president of the special commission in charge of the project, deputy Jorge Arreaza, explained that the central objective is to create conditions for the harmonious development of the country and resolve differences internally.
Arreaza reported that the bill, made up of 13 articles, is expected to be presented for second discussion on Thursday. And by Wednesday, receive the people’s proposals.
Likewise, he highlighted that one of the people who most called for dialogue was President Nicolás Maduro. “But now we are obliged by the people and history to achieve it.”
For his part, the first vice president of the National Assembly, deputy Pedro Infante, pointed out that this legal instrument represents a new process of dialogue for the future and preservation of the Republic.
Infante clarified during the debate that this regulation should not be interpreted as a law to be forgotten or impunity, but as a tool for peace that must be incorporated into all sectors.
“We continue working on the construction of a legal framework that guarantees the harmony and well-being of all the people,” Antv reported on the closing of this consultation phase in the territory.
The participation of the communal peace justice seeks to ensure that the content of the law reflects the reality of the communities and strengthens the mechanisms of coexistence from the popular bases.
Nora Bracho, vice president of the commission, pointed out that the current moment in the country calls for courageous action to define the future of Venezuela.
Bracho emphasized the need to build bridges that allow the return of Venezuelans abroad.
The deputy urged people to overcome grudges and heavy burdens to advance peace in the country.
Likewise, he expressed his disagreement with foreign sanctions due to the negative impact they have on the people.
For the parliamentarian, the Amnesty Law is fundamental to guarantee political stability, which is why she asked the justices of the peace to become multipliers of this norm.
The role of popular bases
From the Simón Bolívar Socialist Commune on January 23, Justice of the Peace Anakari Ugueto highlighted the commitment to bring the bill to the communities for discussion.
Ugueto confirmed that the justices of the peace will maintain their deployment in the territory to strengthen popular participation in this historic process.
For his part, Gustavo Canchica, member of the Program for Peace and Democratic Coexistence, insisted on the importance of mutual recognition.
Canchica pointed out that it is necessary to establish a dialogue between all sectors to seek definitive reconciliation between Venezuelans.
Finally Gil Quijada, justice of the peace of the La Silsa Commune, reiterated the call for a reunion.
Quijada expressed that those who benefit from these measures must join the peace and reject violence.
For the communal spokesperson, the current process invites constructive debate and social order as pillars of the Revolution.
