The winners will have their books published by Editora Senac Rio and will receive a cash prize worth R$30,000 each.

“The Sesc Literature Prize fulfills the fundamental role of identifying authors who, often, even outside the main circulation axes, have works of high artistic vigor”, said Leonardo Minervini, interim manager of Culture at the National Department of Sesc.

The selection process for submitted works is carried out by judging committees made up of literary critics, writers and editors from different regions of the country. The jury evaluates the texts without knowing the identity of the authors.

The result will be announced in August and the winners will be presented to the public at a signing ceremony at the end of the year.

After publication, The books will be distributed across the Sesc library and school networkin all regions of Brazil.

Minervini emphasizes that the award aims to offer debut authors not only the publication of their work, but a real insertion in the publishing market and direct contact with the public across the country.

Created in 2003, the award has already received around 24 thousand originals and revealed 43 new authors to the publishing market. In 2025, the winners were Marcus Groza (SP), with the novel Goiás; Leonardo Piana (MG), with the book of poems Climbing is tiring; and Abáz (BA), with the collection of short stories Massaranduba.
