The Secretariat reminded Mexicans that, in emergency situations, the Mexican consulate is available to provide assistance. If a compatriot finds himself in a critical situation, such as the loss of documents or being a victim of a crime, he can count on the support of the consular authorities.
In the case of an arrest, Mexicans have the right to request that the consulate be notified immediately.
