He Wolverhampton Wanderers confirmed this Saturday the sale of the Colombian Jhon Arias at Palmeiras for an amount greater than 20 million euros. In the Brazilian club he will play in attack alongside Vitor Roque.
Arias, who arrived at Wolves last summer, has played 26 games for the current bottom of the Premier League and has scored two goals.
The 28-year-old Colombian scored a goal against West Ham United in the league championship and another Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup.
“We thank Jhon for all his efforts at Wolves and wish him the best in Brazil,” express the English club in a statement.
Arias already knows what it’s like to play in Brazilian football, having played for Fluminense in Rio de Janeiro between 2021 and 2025, when he packed his bags to play in the Premier League.
He became a fundamental piece of the Rio team, with which he lifted the Copa Libertadores in 2023, among other titles.
However, his jump to the Old Continent has not gone as expected. Wolverhampton is currently bottom of the English League with only one victory in 25 games.
