Frontal system will cause downpours in provinces on the north coast, according to Meteorology

Sistema frontal provocará aguaceros en provincias de la costa norte, según Meteorología

Santo Domingo.– A frontal system will cause downpours starting this Friday in several provinces on the northern Dominican coast, the Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet) reported this Thursday.

Provinces under rain in the morning

According to the agency, rainfall will be recorded during the morning over the provinces of Samaná, Puerto Plata, Espaillat and María Trinidad Sánchez, located on the northern coast of the country.

Rain will continue in the afternoon

In the afternoon, the atmospheric condition will extend towards Santiago de los Caballeros, La Vega, Santiago Rodríguez, Dajabón, Elías Piña, Duarte, Juan Sánchez Ramírez, Hato Mayor and El Seibo.

Indomet indicated that the rains will remain at least until Saturday in several areas, although they are expected to decrease with the arrival of a drier air mass.
