Teenagers lost in Río Tambo survive in the forest and return home

Two brothers, aged 17 and 12, managed to return safely to their native community of Yanacita, in the district of Río Tambo, after spending three days lost in the forest.

The minors, identified as Neñez (17) and Dilger (12), went hunting on Sunday, February 1, with a spell weapon in the native community of Yanacita. According to their uncle, Beni Medina, the teenagers became disoriented and survived by eating wild fruits during their absence.

On the morning of February 3, they managed to reach the native community of Capitiri, where the community members provided them with support and coordination so that they could return to their home. The inhabitants of Capitiri alerted the authorities about their location, which allowed the search initiated from the first day by family members and members of the community to end.
