55 years of the Broad Front will be celebrated tomorrow in Juan Lacaze
This Thursday, February 5, the political force that currently heads the Executive Branch celebrated its 55th anniversary.
At the departmental level there will be no special events and at the national level the celebration will take place tomorrow, Saturday the 7th, in the Colonia town of Juan Lacaze.
“We are celebrating, commemorating, greeting all the Frente Amplistas for a new anniversary that the political force is going to celebrate with an activity in Juan Lacaze, in the department of Colonia, in a political and artistic event that will be held there” commented the Notary Daniel Aquino.
“The Cerro Largo Department tried to have the participation of the people of Cerro Largo be present through a bus, but we did not meet a minimum expectation. Although the cost was not the problem, few people signed up. Perhaps it is not the most attractive place, but it is an emblematic place for the Frente Amplio” remarked the President of the Departmental Political Table.
“Juan Lacaze has been a city, the city of Sabalero, that due to its hard-working and working-class tradition has led to the Frente Amplio always winning the Municipal Government there and even before when it was a Local Board” recalled the leader of Cerro Largo.
“At the departmental level we were thinking about carrying out an activity in Laguna Merín, which is where we have a Councilor. We thought about it for Sunday the 8th, but both the colleague who is part of the Municipal Government and the President of the Committee told us that they were not going to be there, so we decided to leave that proposal without effect” he counted.
As planned, a public statement was prepared and disseminated through the media and on social networks.
TOUR STARTING IN MARCH
“The idea is that on March 1, the date that will mark one year of the Frente Amplio Government, a series of exchanges and meetings with the Frente Amplio militancy will begin” Daniel Aquino announced.
“Although we are still talking about it with our colleagues, we want to start in Laguna because Río Branco and Plácido Rosas are also nearby. The idea is to go inland” express.
“Then perhaps, after 15 days we can do the area of Fraile Muerto, Cerro de las Cuentas, Quebracho, Tres Islas and Ramón Trigo” he posed.
“Finally, attend Aceguá, Noblía and also the rest of the Municipalities in an exchange work with colleagues as a way to reorganize the organic structure of the Front to face the challenges that come” he pointed out.
“We encountered some difficulties, some circumstances, the will was there, but you cannot go against reality” he said in relation to the frustrated trip to Colonia with a delegation that left from Melo that same Saturday morning.
GOVERNMENT WITH A BUDGET
“The National Government already has its budget” he remarked. “He is carrying out the electoral promises that he made to the people in Cologne, the 63 measures” stated the President of the Political Table.
“They are going at a very good pace, more than half of those measures have already been passed, most of them are already being applied. Now with a new budget, starting January 1, the Government has to carry out the objectives and goals it set for itself” Aquino closed.
