The Minister of Production (Produce), César Quispe, ruled out any political interference in the municipal funds if the rule is maintained that establishes that the Mype Vice Ministry will appoint a director of these entities.
In statements to Perú21 collaborator in Cusco, Carol González, the head of Produce assured that the representative of that office on the board of directors will be elected by the micro and small business unions.
The official pointed out that they aim to ensure that the person chosen meets technical and moral requirements, which is why he announced that they will publish a draft of the regulations for this election and thus receive opinions from interested parties.
“As a ministry, the guarantee we give is that the most suitable person will be chosen. The regulations will be clear,” he added during his visit to Cusco.
It must be remembered that despite this intention of the official, the Judiciary recently suspended the rule that allowed the Executive to appoint a director of the funds, so the process in the vice-ministry will have to wait.
