Venezuela and the United Nations explore alliances against drug trafficking

The National Anti-Drug Superintendence (SNA) and representatives of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime for the Andean Region and the Southern Cone (Unodc-Rocol), based in Bogotá, held a high-level videoconference to strengthen bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, UN delegates expressed their commitment to providing technical assistance and training aimed at combating transnational organized crime.

The national anti-drug superintendent, M/G Danny Ferrer Sandrea, presented a detailed assessment of the execution of the Venezuelan State’s policies.

In his speech, he highlighted the results obtained in terms of seizures and prevention, while exploring key areas to receive specialized support that allows strengthening the country’s institutional capacities.

This meeting represents progress in the consolidation of strategic alliances based on multilateralism.

By reaffirming its commitment to international cooperation, Venezuela seeks to expand work routes that guarantee citizen security and peace, aligning with global protocols to confront the world drug problem.
