A group of 315 Venezuelan migrants arrived in the country this Wednesday on a flight from the United States, as part of the official repatriation program Great Mission Return to the Homeland.
According to the Ministry of Communication and Information, 262 men, 36 women and 17 minors were traveling on the aircraft, distributed among 14 boys and 3 girls. The plane, operated by Eastern Airlines, departed from the state of Arizona.
“Upon arrival at the Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía, the citizens received comprehensive medical care and security guidance from the authorities,” the institution reported.
With this arrival, the number of Venezuelans who have returned to the country since February 2025 through repatriation flights amounts to 20,200, according to official data.
Images broadcast by the state channel Globovision showed that the repatriates were received by the president of Vuelta a la Patria, Camilla Fabri, wife of the former minister and businessman Alex Saab and a figure close to President Nicolás Maduro.
This flight became number 107 since Caracas and Washington signed a migration agreement at the beginning of last year, which has remained in force even in the midst of episodes of bilateral tension, such as the US military deployment in the Caribbean Sea.
Last Monday, another similar operation had already been recorded, when 174 Venezuelans returned to the country on a plane from the United States, as reported at the time by the Ministry of the Interior and Justice.
