A new fire hit the community of Capela, in the northwest region of the city of Santos (SP). According to firefighters, between seven and eight homes were hit, with no injuries. The fight against the flames mobilized twenty-seven firefighters and is in the aftermath phase in the last update at 8 pm.
It is the third fire in 8 days in communities in the northwest region of the city, in the Rádio Clube neighborhood. City Hall and Firefighters did not comment on the matter. The region is close to the border with São Vicente and brings together the largest communities in Baixada.
The region receives reurbanization projects, with expected investments of more than R$50 million in municipal, state and federal resources.
