“Today I can proudly say that the one who has put his heart forward for Peru is Alianza Para el Progreso, the one who has put his heart forward for Peru has been César Acuña,” shouted the apepista that if he put anything in the empty Boluarte government it was his militants as ministers.
José Salardi, Juan José Santiváñez and César Sandoval and César Vásquez are just some apepistas who were part of one of the cabinets and who today participate in the electoral campaign with that party. Even Vásquez, being Minister of Health, became Boluarte’s staunchest defender.
During Vásquez’s long term at the head of the Minsa, a seizure of up to 12 officials linked to APP in Essalud was even reported, including Segundo Acho Mego, who was named president of that institution.
Realities that Acuña now tries to ignore. Bad memory? No. Just political calculation. That which he himself denies that his party has.
