The former prosecutor of the nation Delia Espinoza was interviewed by Pedro Salinas in the recent edition of ‘The Truth in Depth’, a La República program in which he gave his opinion on various topics and figures in the political situation, such as Tomás Aladino Gálvezwho, for her, although she could not affirm that she has sold out to power, is very “opportune and comfortable for the power in power” because she does not have that “determination” to carry out the investigations as it should be.
“Before the elections If there is something that nation’s attorney must try, is to clean the scene so that the population sees that people who even intend to be re-elected do not deserve trust again because they are committing crimes of corruption, money laundering or influence peddling. And in the Congress There are several, and no one says anything,” argued the disqualified prosecutor.

Espinoza also said that he does not see Gálvez as a “persecutor of crime,” but, on the contrary, files many cases that prove “alleged crimes.” “He says that a nation’s attorney should not investigate senior officialsbut I don’t know why an FN would be there if he is not going to give the example of pursue crime at the highest level,” said the lawyer.
Likewise, the lawyer declared that at this point “a national prosecutor should not show lukewarmness, but firmness,” even if it is about carrying out an investigation into the president of the republicwho, for Espinoza, “is not worth more than an ordinary Peruvian.” On the other hand, he stated that we are not in a rule of law nor is it seen democracy 100%, and that is why “we are a hybrid State.”
Finally, Delia Espinoza He regretted that there is so much “disunity” and division within the entities and organizations, since “for years it has been seen that the political issue, rather than uniting Peruvians, has divided us,” a fact that is reflected at all levels. Meanwhile, he gave as an example what happened to him within the Public Ministry: “My colleagues, unfortunately, left me alone and until now there is a stony silence (…) The public is seeing it, because they have remained silent in the face of the tremendous onslaught of the JNJwho has taken control of our autonomy, and I have tried not to allow it, but they have overwhelmed me, and well, I am going to continue fighting,” said the supreme prosecutor.
