Julio César Salazar Villalba (46) was arrested by agents of the Bolivarian National Police when he was fleeing after having murdered his ex-partner Rossana Alejandra Hernández Mayora (44).
Through a report posted on the Cicpc Instagram account, it is detailed that the femicide occurred on January 24 in the La Atlántida sector, Catia la Mar, Vargas municipality, La Guaira state, where Rossana and Julio argued, since he did not accept the break in that relationship.
During the altercation, the man pulled out a firearm, fired it at the woman, immediately blinding her, and then fled.
As the man fled, he was surprised by PNB commissions. He confronted them and was injured, which led to his transfer to a health center where he received medical attention.
Once arrested, the man was handed over to the Public Ministry, where they opened a file for the crime of femicide, which is being supported by the investigative proceedings of the Cicpc.
