López Aliaga leads 2026 presidential polls: this is how the voting intention for the Elections goes

A little less than three months before 2026 presidential electionvoting intention remains highly fragmented. According to the most recent survey of Institute of Peruvian Studies (IEP), Rafael Lopez Aliaga (Popular Renewal) tops the preferences with just 14.7%,

Then, without statistically significant differences between them, they appear Mario Vizcarra (4.4%), Carlos Alvarez (4.0%), Alfonso López Chau (4.0%), Yohny Lescano (3.2%) and Ricardo Belmont (2.4%). Below are located George Forsyth (1.9%), Cesar Acuna (1.4%), Carlos Espá (1.4%) and Marisol Pérez Tello (1.1%).

However, the most relevant data from the survey is not who is leading, but rather the size of the electorate that is not yet inclined towards any option. 21.8% responded that they “do not need” their vote, while 19.2% indicated that they would not vote for any candidate. Adding the white/null vote (2.9%) and those who say they would not vote (0.6%), the total number of citizens who do not elect anyone reaches 44.5%.
