Hitmen on a motorcycle shot a motorcycle taxi driver to death outside a restaurant with ten bullets. This occurred even though the victim tried to hide under a truck, but he was killed in front of passers-by and transporters in Sullana. Due to the ferocity of the attack, the Police hypothesize that the motive was an alleged settling of scores.
The incident occurred around 11:34 pm last Thursday, when the victim, identified as Wilber Jair Seminario Castillo (30), was in the back seat of his motorcycle taxi waiting for passengers, in front of a restaurant on the 15th block of busy Champagnat Avenue.
At that moment, according to the security camera images, a hitman wearing a dark T-shirt and cap arrived walking to the scene. Having the victim in front of him, he pulled out a firearm and shot Seminario, who, in an attempt to save himself, ran a few meters and took refuge under a white van parked on the avenue.
Once there, the attacker crouched down and continued shooting, leaving him seriously injured on the pavement. After the attack, an accomplice on a motorcycle arrived to pick up the hitman, who fired shots into the air to frighten witnesses as they fled towards the Sullana-Tambogrande highway.
Badly injured, Seminario was taken in his own motorcycle taxi to the II-2 Support Hospital on Santa Rosa Avenue. Unfortunately, he died shortly after due to the severity of the bullet wounds he received in different parts of his body.
