“If a door closes, push it.” With this phrase, Angélica remembers that opportunities do not fall from the sky: you have to go after them, and that “no”s often become new possibilities.
From the digital area, Angélica is in charge of giving visibility to journalistic content and believes in making the most of every opportunity.
Chaimi Alexandra Soriano 22 years old

Photojournalist
Since I was 17 years old, Chaimi sees the world through the lens. His first big challenge came almost immediately when he joined the El Día family, when he had to cover a tragedy of high national impact: the collapse of the roof of the Jet Set nightclub.
“Always study. In any free moment, study,” he exhorts young people, recognizing that knowledge is the key that opens all doors.
His dream is to tell stories that transcend time through images.

Since high school, Jannelka knew that she wanted to tell stories. One of her biggest challenges was facing a high-impact international news day alone, learning to trust herself under pressure.
“Don’t stop. There is always a light that you will reach.”
Representing Ocoa in a national media is, for her, a source of pride and responsibility.

Eymi came to journalism driven by the example of her aunt Senabris, who worked at El Día and became her greatest inspiration.
Although at first he hesitated, today he practices with passion and human sensitivity. One of the hardest moments of his career was covering a road tragedy in San Cristóbal, an experience that marked his way of telling stories.
“The basis of everything is education. You have to move forward without looking at the condition of the moment. The future always has answers.”
Her greatest pride is honoring the legacy of her aunt, whom she credits for being where she is today.

“I am passionate about creating from scratch, seeing how an idea takes shape and becomes something that communicates,” he explains.
