A commission from the Eastern Homicide Investigation Coordination managed to arrest Gerald Alfonso Espinoza (48), in the La Alcabala sector, Petare parish, Miranda state, after determining his participation in the homicide of Jerry José Guerra Narváez (21), which occurred in said sector on April 18, 2019, when he was subdued to steal his belongings.
The deceased, who was an ophthalmologist by profession, was subdued by Andy Jesús Anderzon Gómez (41), yet to be arrested, and by Franklin Alexander Cisneros Yánez (19), detained by the Sucre Police, to strip him of his belongings. When he resisted, Andy Anderzon shot him in the neck, killing him instantly. Both subjects fled the scene in an unknown direction.
Upon further investigation, it was determined that the arrested person is the uncle of Anderzon Gómez and was the one who provided him with the firearm used in the crime.
After his arrest, he was verified in the Police Investigation and Information System (Siipol), showing that he also has records for trading narcotic and psychotropic substances. Cisnero Yánez was placed under the command of the Public Ministry.
