A worker was injured in the leg after individuals aboard a motorcycle shot him as he left work on a construction site in the district of Querecotillo, province of Sullana.

The incident occurred on the afternoon of Wednesday, January 28, when Frank Farías H. was leaving work on the water and sewage project being carried out in said city. When he found himself near an irrigation ditch, he was intercepted by two men on a motorcycle, who shot him and one of the projectiles hit him in the leg.
The victim was transferred to the district health center and then transferred to the Support Hospital II-2 in Sullana, where he remains stable. It was reported that the injured man resides in the town center of Santa Elena Baja, in Querecotillo.
