The interim president Delcy Rodríguez, He received the insignia of Commander in Chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, in an event held this Wednesday in the courtyard of Las Academias, in Fuerte Tiuna.
During the event, he asked the military high command and related organizations for their maximum performance to have the guidelines of the country’s new defensive system in 100 days and assured that extremism “could not, nor will it be able to” with the peace of Venezuelans.
He warned that through the Democratic Coexistence and Peace Program, a space for political dialogue has been opened.
«Let all those who truly love Venezuela come, but those who intend to perpetuate the damage and aggression against the people of Venezuela, let them stay in Washington, because they are not going to come here to harm the peace and tranquility of the Republic. There will be law and justice,” warned the president in charge.
He asserted that the country is willing to understand, to dialogue, “but not to another aggression, to pretend that they have to look for nuclear powers to attack our people and try to blackmail and extort them. Here the law will be applied, in respect of the Constitution. Venezuela is much bigger than our differences. “Venezuela needs to trust in politics, with capital P and V, a policy and dialogue between Venezuelans, without any type of external interference,” he stressed.

Fight for love of Venezuela
The president in charge as Commander in Chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, received the baton of command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB)a symbol that represents authority, commitment, leadership, ethics and the rigor of military art, as well as the replica of the sword of the Liberator Simón Bolívar.
In his speech, Rodríguez carried a special message to the country’s soldiers and police officers. «Our father Liberator was not only known for his victories, but also for his defeats and misfortunes, but for him the material defeats did not satisfy his libertarian spirit. For this reason, I ask that that same spirit take over you to defend the country,” he expressed.
Next, he congratulated the FANB, the military high command and the citizen security forces for their performance before, during and after the military aggression that occurred on January 3, 2026.

We were in permanent contact that morning, we were in combat and that is why I say honor and glory to the heroes and heroines of January 3, 2026, who did not surrender, who gave their lives for the country, honor and glory to the fallen, solidarity to their families and friends,” he stated, highlighting the combat at dawn on January 3. “Seeing an unequal battle, technological superiority and unknown weapons, they fought for their love of Venezuela, for the Venezuelan people,” he added.


They will create an office for cyber defense
“We must learn from misfortunes,” said the president in charge, which is why she announced the creation of a national office for the country’s cyber defense, which will be chaired by the Minister of Science and Technology, Gabriela Jiménez.
«January 3 will mark our history. I recognize the responsibility of the men and women in arms in defending peace, thank you for your performance. “We will become an overwhelming force to achieve the freedom of our president Nicolás Maduro and the first lady, Cilia Flores,” he stated. “We have no doubt about the victory,” he said after mentioning the gesture of victory made by President Maduro, “which must be lasting for our people, achieving and caring for peace.
Fanb: champions in the fight against extremism
Rodríguez described the members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces and the security organizations as champions, for having carried out actions to dismantle extremism and fascism in Venezuela, to defeat coups d’état, sabotage, and attacks against the constitutional order. «They had to look for a world power to try to distort the sovereignty of the Venezuelan people. They have not been able to and will not be able to,” he said, highlighting the work of the civic, military, and police union for the peace of the country.

The president in charge announced the relaunch of the Great Black First Mission, “to heal the wounds and care for the military family,” she said and also announced the launch of the Guardians of the Homeland Mission, to care for the police officers.
Finally, he expressed the feeling of pain he feels upon learning of the stories and sorrows that boys and girls had to go through in the early hours of January 3 due to the military aggression.
