As reported by the Presidency, the Vice Minister of Public Health, Carilda Peña, indicated in a meeting to monitor the situation that the number of cases “is in the safety zone.”
“In the recently concluded third week of the year, cases decreased by 29.3% compared to the previous week,” said the Cuban vice minister, without further details.
Meanwhile, the mathematics expert and director of Science and Technology at the University of Havana, Raúl Guinovart, commented that “the trend is verified in all regions, especially in the west and center.”
