Santo Domingo.– The president of the Dominican Municipal League (LMD), Víctor D’Aza, presented the achievements of the first year of his second administration, which began in January 2025 after his unanimous election in the Assembly of Municipalities.
D’Aza headed the first Executive Committee of the LMD this year in which the results achieved in favor of strengthening local governments were highlighted, based on 3 strategic axes of work: Transparency, Training and Quality Municipal Services, fundamental to improve the quality of life of citizens.
In this framework, mayors who are members of the Executive Committee and collaborators of the LMD participated in a mass of thanksgiving in which D’Aza stated that “our gratitude for the work done and the achievements obtained is an invitation to continue our commitment to contribute to raising the quality of life in the territories.”
In 2025, the LMD collaborated with the Directorate of Government Ethics and Integrity (DIGEIG) to strengthen 269 Municipal Offices of Free Access to Information and maintained the alliance with the Comptroller General’s Office.
