Sosua.- A collapse in a caliche mine in the María O sector, in the municipality of Sosúa, caused the death of Nicolás Domínguez and his son Yariel Domínguez, according to information provided by the authorities.
The collapse occurred while both were inside the excavation, leaving them trapped after a part of the ground fell away.
Members of the relief agencies and residents of the area participated in the rescue efforts, managing to extract the bodies hours after the event.
