The Jorge Chavez International Airport will have a new aviation fuel plant and the company that will accompany the terminal concessionaire Lima Airport Partners (LAP) in this project as a partner has already been chosen. This is Exolum SA, which was chosen after a bidding process.
The aforementioned company will be a long-term partner of LAP in the implementation of the LIMFuel project, which will involve an investment of more than US$80 million by 2025according to the dealer.
The new infrastructure will be almost four times larger than the current plant, since it will have an area of 51,000 m2
The general manager of the concessionaire, Juan José Salmón, explained that “Exolum invests in research and development and has experience in handling SAF fuel (Sustainable Aviation Fuel)with the ability to implement it in LIM at the forefront of market trends”.
“In addition, it offers a sustainable proposal for the Jorge Chávez International Airport, in terms of protection and care of the environment. environmentwith the incorporation of a fleet of specialized new technology equipment to achieve the reduction of CO2 emissions, in addition to other initiatives”, added the executive.
The now partner of LAP is also one of the largest international companies providing storage, distribution and on-board aviation fuel services for aircraft, as it has more than 40 years of experience in the industry and is recognized in Europe for its operations at airports in Spain and Dublin.
Similarly, its experience in Latin America is also recognized through its operations in Guayaquil and Panama.
