The National Police reported this Tuesday that, in coordination with the Public Ministry, dismantled a network dedicated to falsification and usurpation of police and military ranks, during a raid carried out in the Villa Hermosa municipality, province The Roman.
According to a press release, in the operation it was arrested Juan Isidro de la Cruz Frías59 years old, identified as a forger, in a home in the Villa Progreso sector, through the court order No. 2026-AJ0003729.
He said that during the intervention, the authorities seized 538 fake IDs who pretended to belong to police institutionsmilitary and related organizations, as well as caps, uniformsinsignia and seals with fraudulent ranks and functions.

Among the evidence seized are caps with the insignia of generals and other ranks, clothing with inscriptions from the “National Special Squad”, “Community Police”, as well as logistical material alluding to an alleged Fire Academy and the National Volunteer Service, among other entities. Also, military camouflage jackets, stickers and official stamps of the so-called Special Squad, 10 stamps from the “Citizen Police” of the Villa Hermosa municipality, 20 national flags, academy-type badges and other items used to appear to be official functions. During the raid, five communication radios, a box of .38 caliber cartridges, a 12 caliber cartridge, documentation corresponding to the “Fundación Escuadrón Especial”, a sign with the legend “Escuadrón Especial Nacional Inc.”, as well as three identity cards in the name of the detainee, were also seized.
He arrested and the evidence was made available to the Public Ministry for purposes of investigation and submission to justice according to the law.
