During the year 2025, the General Directorate of Migration (DGM) reported that issued 48,648 permits travel for minors, one of the institution’s most in-demand services and which are now delivered in 24 hoursissued through the Certifications Department of Immigration.
In that sense, the DGM indicated that in the year 2025 it will be registered sustained growth and improvements in the issuance of these permits.
What were the months of highest and lowest demand?
According to the report annual statisticthe months of greatest demand were:
- July with 8,428 permits.
- In June, 7,923 were issued.
- December with 7,420.
Unlike these, August counted 3,876 permits and May 2,859, while in the first months of the year, January and February, they registered 2,315 and 1,923 permits, according to the institution.
Regarding the number of minors, the institution indicated that a total of 56,611 minors were included in these permits. The month with the highest number of authorized minors was July, with 10,152, followed by June with 9,471 and December with 7,420.
The Department of Immigration Certifications issued 2,307 certifications related to migratory movementsmaintaining stable behavior throughout the year and guaranteeing the continuity of service.
Implemented programs
As part of the institutional modernization process, during 2025 the General Directorate of Migration implemented the program Zero Bureaucracyachieving support from the Presidency of the Republic, Vice Presidency, the Ministry of Public Administration, Ministry of the Interior and Police, Central Electoral Board, Government Office of Information and Communication Technologies, National Competitiveness Council, within the framework of its digital transformationalso achieving certification of the anti-bribery management standard and digital recertification, which had a positive impact on the efficiency, transparency and control of the procedures.
In terms of citizen attention, the DGM reported a scope of 12,302 assists through its digital platforms, used as guidance and support channels for users of the healthcare service. exit permits of minors, of which 11,577 corresponded to Instagram, 693 to Facebook and 32 to X.
