The broadcast of a video recorded on Friday, January 23 in an establishment of the chain Frisby in Ibagué it set off alarms on social networks. In the images you can see a worker going through a moment of strong emotional disturbance in the middle of his work day, a situation that caught the attention of clients and colleagues present at the scene.

The young man appears visibly affected, raising his voice and expressing phrases that would indicate possible emotional exhaustion. As heard in the record, the employee refers to alleged humiliations and treatment that, according to his version, he would have been enduring in his work environment, which generated concern among those who witnessed the episode.

After the video circulated, competent entities carried out a review at the point of sale to learn first-hand what happened. From the Ministry of Labor in Tolima it was confirmed that a verification visit was carried out with the objective of evaluating the internal situation and listening to the parties involved.
Regarding this case, the director of the Ministry of Labor office, Lina Mendieta, explained that during the procedure no current formal complaints presented by other collaborators were found. However, he indicated that versions and testimonies were collected that will allow the context of the incident to be analyzed and possible actions to be determined.
The official recalled that labor regulations require companies to have coexistence committees, bodies created to address conflicts and situations of alleged workplace harassment. “Companies must offer spaces where workers can request support, both in cases of conflicts with superiors and between colleagues,” he said.
The episode has generated a wide debate about the importance of emotional health in the workspace and the need to strengthen prevention and timely care mechanisms. While the corresponding evaluations progress, the case continues to be analyzed as a call to reinforce care for the well-being of workers.

Frisby officially spoke out after the video circulated on social networks where a collaborator is seen expressing his disagreement at a point of sale in Ibagué. In its statement, the company indicated that, once it was aware of the situation, it decided to speak clearly and responsibly, reiterating that it strictly complies with current labor legislation, as well as the guidelines of the National Government and its own internal protocols focused on respect and dignity of people.
The company explained that its Human Management and Wellbeing team immediately activated safety and health protocols at work, providing support and attention to both the worker involved and the rest of the establishment’s staff. In addition, Frisby highlighted that it has formal active listening channels to promptly address any situation that may affect the health, dignity or work environment of its collaborators, and reaffirmed its commitment to act with transparency, humanity and dialogue to promote healthy labor relations.
