Santo Domingo.- The former rector of the Technological Institute of the Americas (ITLA), Rafael Jesus Feliz Garciaissued an official statement this Monday in which defends the integrity of his professional career in the Government and the transparency of your personal assets, after his recent dismissal under Decree 39-26.
Through a letter, shared on his social networks, loaded with personal and professional nuances, Rafael Féliz, 29, highlighted that his behavior in the State for more than five years has been governed by the values of “work and righteousness” instilled by his family.
The sociologist and university professor He stated that during his time at institutions such as ITSC, the Ministry of Youth and ITLA, he implemented rigorous control systems. He especially highlighted the adoption of the Integrated Institutional Management System, which includes three ISO standards focused on compliance, quality and, fundamentally, anti-bribery.
“I can affirm with dignity that I had the responsibility of managing State resources under control and transparency schemes… My career has always been aligned with those principles,” said Féliz García.

Given the current political climate, The former official directly addressed his personal financial situation. He explained that his current assets, an apartment and a vehicle (which he no longer owns), were acquired through bank financing.

Dismissal
The president Luis Abinader arranged the dismissal of Rafael Féliz García as rector of Technological Institute of the Americas (ITLA) through the Decree 39-26released last Friday by the Presidency of the Republic. The decision comes after complaints made by the journalist Nuria Pierain which it was pointed out that the official allegedly collected commissions from employees with higher salaries for political purposes, accusations that were denied by the institution.
