The Spanish Irene Guerrero scored two goals this Sunday to lead the attack of the Águilas del America in their 4-0 win over the Mazatlanwhich put the azulcrema team in first place in the Clausura of Mexican women’s soccer. In addition to Guerrero’s two goals, the Venezuelan Gabriela García and Monserrat Saldívar scored the remaining goals for América, superior in their stadium in the capital.
Just in the 8th minute, Guerrero got an assist from Kiana Palacios and put the ball in the net to give América an advantage, expanded in the 24th minute with a goal from García from a pass from Sarah Luebbert. América, led by the Spanish Ángel Villacampa, pressed and in the 59th minute widened the difference with a left-footed shot from Saldívar. In the 72nd minute, Guerrero scored a penalty, his second goal of the game, third of the championship.
