President Luiz Inácio Lula Da Silva stated that he remains outraged by the US military intervention in Venezuela on January 3, where President Nicolás Maduro and the first lady, Cilia Flores, were kidnapped.
“Honestly, I am outraged every night by what happened in Venezuela. I can’t believe it. (…) These guys entered Venezuela at night, went to the fort, a barracks where Maduro lives, and took him away,” he commented.
He was also against aggression.
“How is it possible to disrespect the territorial integrity of a country?” he said at the 14th National Meeting of the Landless Rural Workers Movement, in Salvador, Brazil.
