The National Police of Peru (PNP) captured two alleged perpetrators of the attack with explosives that occurred on the morning of this Saturday, January 24, in a nightclub in the city of Trujillo, in the La Libertad region.
The attack occurred around 11:00 am, when an explosive charge was thrown against the establishment, which generated the immediate activation of security protocols and extensive police deployment in the area.

The Minister of the Interior, Vicente Tiburcio, explained through the social networks of his sector that they first intervened a person riding a motorcycle and, later, to a second individual, who would have delivered the explosive material.
Both were arrested in the district of Florencia de Mora and are being investigated for their alleged participation in other similar events recorded in the region.
The Minister of the Interior highlighted the coordinated work of the prevention, investigation, intelligence and tactical forces units, under the La Libertad police command.
Likewise, Vicente Tiburcio reaffirmed that the Police will continue to respond immediately and firmly to these violent acts.
Within the framework of the state of emergency, the head of the sector reported that The region has been reinforced with 150 specialized police officers to intensify the fight against extortion and organized crime.
Besides, The head of the La Libertad Police Region, PNP General Franco Moreno, confirmed the seizure of a firearm and ammunition from one of the detainees, and assured that the actions will continue until the leaders of the criminal gangs that operate in Trujillo are captured.
