Thirty-two wrappers of alleged cocaine base paste (CBP) were seized by members of the Terna Huancayo Group during an operation that allowed the arrest of four alleged members of the criminal gang known as “Los Chiflados del Centro”, in the city of Huancayo.
The police intervention was carried out on Avenida Ferrocarril s/n, near the Los Andes Bridge, as part of the preventive actions carried out by the National Police of Peru to combat illicit drug trafficking in the region.
During the operation, the agents found under a mattress located on the slope and structure of the bridge a fragment of black plastic that contained 25 newspaper wrappers with a grainy brownish substance, with characteristics similar to PBC.
Likewise, during the personal search of Joel Ángel Arrascue Ramos (48), alias “Elfo”, a polyethylene bag with seven additional wrappers of the same substance was found, in addition to a Samsung brand cellular device, allegedly used for the coordination of illicit activities.
The detainees were identified as Jesús Berick Daviran Barboza (36), alias “Motor”; Frans Raphael Barbaron Guerrero (40), alias “El Pajarito”; Pedro Andrés Sovero Marcone (46), alias “Panda”; and Joel Ángel Arrascue Ramos (48), alias “Elfo”, who were placed at the disposal of the SEINCRI of the Huancayo Police Station for legal proceedings.
The fact was reported to the Public Ministry, leaving the case in charge of Dr. Kattya López Carranza, from the Third Provincial Corporate Criminal Prosecutor’s Office of Huancayo, who will continue with the corresponding investigations.
