The Central University of Venezuela joins other Venezuelan institutions that pay tribute to the heroes who fell on January 3 during the United States attack against the country.
With a mass celebrated from the Nobody’s Land sector of the study house, the university community raised their prayers for the eternal rest of these heroes. The homily was given by the father of the University parish, Eduardo Soto, who pointed out that the UCV is committed to national reconciliation.
“Given the situation we are experiencing, we have the option of continuing to hate or start loving and forgiving, and only through forgiveness can we seriously begin the path of reconciliation that the country needs,” he said.
For his part, the person in charge of the Presidential Commission for the Recovery of the UCV, Francisco Garcés, repudiated the crime and recognized that unity is the only way to solve the country’s problems and sow a future of reconciliation, peace and respect.
