Police return a 13-year-old teenager reported missing in Jarabacoa to his home

Policía devuelve a su hogar un adolescente de 13 años reportado como ausente en Jarabacoa

Santo Domingo.– Agents from the Central Directorate of Criminal Investigations (Dicrim), of the National Police, located and returned to his home this Thursday a 13-year-old adolescent who had been reported as absent by his mother since last January 21, in the municipality of Jarabacoa, La Vega province, in the north of the country.

As reported by the Police in a statement, the minor was located in good health, thanks to the search and investigation work carried out by the agents, with the support of a citizen who alerted about his presence in the Café Cola sector of that district.

After his location, the Police specified that the teenager was handed over to his mother and both were presented to the Public Ministry for the corresponding purposes, in accordance with the provisions of the Law for the Protection of Boys, Girls and Adolescents.

The National Police reiterated its commitment to the protection of children and adolescents, as well as to the timely response to reports of absent people.
