The Águia de Marabá club announced the death of Ronan Tyeser, coach of the under-20 team, this Thursday (22), through a post on social media. The 44-year-old coach had been hospitalized for a week in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at a regional hospital in Tocantins, after an accident with the bus transporting the team. In a statement, the club stated that the cause of death was traumatic brain injury.
The technician was seriously injured in the collision of the bus with a truck stopped at km 591 of BR 153, on the night of the 15th. The accident had already killed the physical trainer Hecton Alvez, who died at the scene. The delegation from the Azulão under-20 team returned to Pará, after being eliminated by Juventude, in the second phase of the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior, Guaratinguetá (SP).
The Pará Football Federation stated that the entity is in mourning, in note published on social media.
“With deep regret, we express our most sincere feelings for the loss of Ronan Tyezer Rodrigues, our Tyezer, a professional who was part of the history of football in Pará and who leaves an irreparable gap between everyone who had the privilege of working with him”.
The Remo club also showed solidarity with relatives and friends of the coach from Pará.
