In addition to preparing for the Soccer World Cup, the city of Monterrey launches a message of environmental sustainability. Mayor Adrián de la Garza inaugurated the monumental work “Mexican Ball”, by the sculptor José Pineda, made with 800,000 meters of disused cable that was removed from public roads in the capital of Monterrey. The ball was well lowered and finished better, attendees at the ceremony commented.
