Executive promulgates law that declares the Chancay–Loreto–Brazil economic corridor of national interest

He Executive power This Wednesday, Law No. 32558 was promulgated, which declares the creation of the Chancay-Loreto-Brazil economic corridor of national interest.

The norm was published in an extraordinary edition of the Legal Norms Bulletin of the Official Gazette El Peruano, after having been approved by the Permanent Commission of the Congress of the Republic.

In its sole article, the law states that the objective of the corridor is to strengthen the connection between the coast, the Amazon and the Brazilian market, facilitating the transportation of goods and promoting foreign trade from the port of Chancay to the interior of the country and the region.

The project aims to become a strategic way to boost the economy in historically neglected areas, especially in Loreto, by encouraging investments, improving infrastructure and generating new productive opportunities under a sustainability approach.

The norm bears the signature of the President of the Republic, José Enrique Jerí, and the President of the Council of Ministers, Ernesto Álvarez Miranda.
