Officials from the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (Cicpc), assigned to the Barquisimeto Municipal Delegation, managed to seize five kilograms of psychotropic substances in the state of Lara.
In the operation, two men were captured with several panelas in their possession. The antisocials were dedicated to the distribution of psychotropic substances in the Iribarren municipality.
The subjects were identified as Gregory Romero García, 20 years old, and Jhoan Flores Mujica, 32 years old, both detained in the El Obelisco sector.
After weeks of investigations and monitoring, the scientific police sleuths intercepted the criminals, who were dedicated to the distribution of narcotics in various sectors of the capital of Larense, affecting the peace and public health of the entity, reported a press release from the organization.
Thanks to police work, in the operation two cars were collected as evidence, which were used as a means of transportation for the commission of the crime and the distribution of the merchandise, and three mobile devices.
This blow to local drug trafficking is part of the security strategies implemented by the Cicpc to reduce the rates of marketing of illicit substances in the state of Lara, the agency said.
The case was placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry of the corresponding Criminal Judicial District.
