Seven boxes of candy were seized after adulterated expiration dates and products without health registration were detected during a joint intervention by the Provincial Municipality of Huancayo (MPH) and the National Police, on Avenida Ferrocarril and Jirón Cajamarca.
The operation was carried out on outpatient tricycles, where candies, chocolates and panettone with deleted or eradicated dates were found, as well as products with expired or non-existent health records, which represents a risk to public health.
Given these irregularities, the police proceeded with the seizure and sealing of the products, which will be transferred for destruction, as they are not suitable for human consumption.
From Bromatology they warned that the consumption of this type of products can cause serious health problems, and pointed out that, despite the resistance and insults of some citizens, the operations will continue to remove foods of dubious origin from the market.
