Capriles proposed that a payment be made, immediately, equivalent to 150 dollars for pensioners and for all people who earn minimum wage as a result of the 300 million dollars that entered the country from the sale of oil.
Deputy Henrique Capriles stated that he wants to give a “fast track” or rapid discussion to the reform of the Hydrocarbons Law, whose debate begins this Thursday in the National Assembly, after the urgent request made by Delcy Rodríguez on January 15.
“We Venezuelans do not know the scope of the entire oil issue, what the new agreements are…” questioned Capriles, who pointed out that he still does not have the reform project in his hands, despite the fact that this Thursday it must be “entry” into parliament.
In a live broadcast carried out on his social networks, this Wednesday the 21st, the deputy reproached the lack of transparency with the information, while expressing his desire that oil revenues really benefit the population and not those in power.
Regarding the announcement made by Delcy Rodríguez about the entry into the country of the first 300 million dollars from the sale of oil, Capriles proposed that an immediate payment equivalent to 150 dollars be made for pensioners and for all people who earn minimum wage.
“I hope that the oil issue changes forever, I hope we see that the income from oil translates into benefits for Venezuelans. Let’s not forget all the corruption scandals in the oil issue.”
Capriles pointed out that in Venezuela there are around five million pensioners, in addition to public workers. In total, according to the parliamentarian, some six million people should already receive a payment as a result of these oil revenues.

After this payment, Capriles proposes that the minimum wage be adjusted and pensions equalized so that Venezuelans can have a salary that allows them to cover their basic expenses as established by the Constitution.
“There is no economic recovery if workers continue to be paid starvation wages,” he said.
In addition to salary, the other urgent issue that must be addressed, according to Capriles, is health. In this regard and taking into consideration the appointment of a new minister in the area, he proposed four urgent actions:
*Attend waiting list of surgical patients or patients waiting for special procedures such as pacemakers.
*Coordinate with regional authorities the cases of cancer patients
*Provision of emergencies, operating rooms, delivery rooms and intensive care units in 64 key hospitals in the country
*Plan to close the population coverage gap of the immunization program.
“Venezuelans are the owners, the owners of the country’s resources, those income and resources should go to them, not to those in power and even less to corruption,” he said.
