Night watchmen from Chiclayo once again star in an act of violence against merchants (VIDEO)

Watchmen from the Municipality of Chiclayo, in the Lambayeque region, beat and attacked with sticks several merchants who approached a municipal premises in order to claim and demand the return of their recently seized merchandise.

According to information from ATV+, the protest caused the municipal agents to leave the building and attack the merchants, among whom were women. A confrontation broke out at the scene.

In recent days, the night watchmen of Chiclayo they have starred in episodes of violence, since through social networks abusive interventions have been denounced to humble street vendors in different streets of the city.

Abusive intervention of watchmen

One of the cases of abuse by the Chiclayo watchmen occurred to Próspero Aguilar Leonardo, a 37-year-old merchant who has been selling fruit in Chiclayo for 3 years. He was intervened on March 9 by several agents who violently stripped him of his work tool (wheelbarrow).

“Three got out and told me: ‘you lost’. They grabbed me by the arm and wanted to bring me up with everything and forklift truckI didn’t let myself and I had to turn it over and they only took the wheelbarrow”, the man told RPP.

The vendor’s fruits were scattered on the track, while the video of the event went viral on social networks, causing outrage among users.

In the month of January, watchmen from the municipality of Chiclayo were also captured when they attacked an ice cream vendor and took away his work tool. In this case, several people stepped in to help the seller. The images also went viral on different social networks.
