A citizen of Canadian nationality was arrested yesterday Tuesday by members of the Dominican Republic Army while transporting foreigners in irregular immigration statusduring an intervention carried out at the El Rubio military post, in the province of Santiago.
It is not the first time that this person is detained for this action, since she had been arrested for the same reason in November 2025, authorities reported.
On this occasion, the arrest occurred when a white Changan Jeep was intercepted, driven by Creamer Troy Jamesof Canadian nationality, bearer of passport No. HP505629, who, according to existing records, is recidivist in this type of illegal activity.
During the inspection of the vehicle, the soldiers found seven Haitian nationalsamong them five men, a woman and a under-agewho did not carry legal documentation to remain in the country.
Likewise, during the procedure they were occupied eight cell phones, five passports of the Republic of Haiti, a laptop (laptop) and a tablet, which remained in the custody of the acting authorities.
