Rodent excreta and accumulation of dirt in the kitchen area were found in the “El Dorado” restaurant, located at the intersection of Jirón Arequipa and Jirón Lima, during an intervention by the Provincial Municipality of Huancayo (MPH), which led to its immediate closure and a fine of S/ 5,500.
The inspection was carried out after a complaint from two diners, who reported an altercation with the person in charge of the establishment after complaining about a broken glass. Given this, Bromatology personnel went to the establishment and found serious sanitary deficiencies.
During the inspection, floors, walls and ceilings in poor condition, accumulation of grease, cobwebs and rodent excrement were detected, even inside a refrigerator, which represents a risk to public health.
