The 4th Trial Court in La Guaira sentenced Héctor José Camargo La Cruz (28), Deivi José Ibarra García (24) and Rosangela Palumbi Del Grande (29), the victim’s niece, to 28 years in prison for their responsibility in the hitman of 49-year-old Ángelo Del Grande Villacis.
During the judicial process, the 11th Prosecutor’s Office of that jurisdiction ratified the accusation against the two men and the woman for the commission of hitmen and association to commit a crime.
The event occurred on January 14, 2024 in a home in the La Virgencita sector in the Carayaca parish of La Guaira state.
That day, at approximately 8:30 at night, Ángelo was in his home when he was surprised by two men in police uniforms on a motorcycle, who without saying a word shot him four times in the head and torso. The man was admitted to the local Eudoro González hospital without vital signs.
After various investigative tasks and expertise coordinated by the Public Ministry, the responsibility of both men and the victim’s niece in the events was determined.
The aggressors were arrested on February 24, 2024, following an arrest warrant, on the main road of Carayaca and were placed at the disposal of the Prosecutor’s Office.
The men will serve their sentence at the Capital Region Rodeo II Judicial Confinement Center in Guatire, Miranda state. While the woman will be confined in the National Institute of Women’s Guidance, located in Los Teques.
