A delicate case of alleged workplace harassment was denounced by a feminist group called ‘Rad Fem Colombia’.

The situation that was recorded on security cameras in a call center involves José Ferney Millán, owner of the company JM Salud y Belleza Colombia SAS, who is heard and seen yelling at his employees and making some offensive gestures.

“So give us 10 at night here, you answer me for everything that is on that board today, do you understand me? Are you understanding me or not? How are you looking at me?” It was one of his deals to the employees who are mostly heads of households.

In the recording it is seen when he throws a glass of water at one of the employees and immediately sends her to clean up the mess.

“Move sons…”, the businessman can be heard saying on the recording. “And the one who denies leaves, hijupue # **”, he reiterates.

This video has circulated virally on social networks and has caused outrage.

After the controversy highlighted in networks for his behavior, through a statement released by the newspaper The viewer, José Ferney Millán spoke out and related his reaction to a supposedly diagnosed disorder:

“Regarding my behavior, at that time (year 2020) after recurring incidents, I began psychological treatment in which I was diagnosed with a TDDEAT (Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder), to my ignorance and the surprise of my relatives “, said.

Then he apologized for this behavior that has caused rejection by society:

“I invoke the forgiveness of all of you, but above all that of the affected (…) for any type of offense that my wrong behavior could cause,” he added.

Finally, he assured that he feels his employees like one more family:

“I consider an important part of my family and for whom I feel totally willing to excuse myself as many times as necessary, because they are witnesses of my current behavior and how we work day by day for our company and their families,” he concluded.

Interview on Blu Radio

This was not the only response that José Ferney gave to public opinion. The protagonist of the video was interviewed by the Blu Radio station, a space where he reiterated his apology.

“What I want is to apologize. Unfortunately, I made a mistake. My intention is to apologize to those who were at that time. To my collaborators. Not only to them but to the women who do work for women », he expressed in the dialogue with the journalist Camila Zuluaga.

“I only apologize to all of Colombia. To my mother. To every woman who has seen this video. I entered psychological treatment, I am struggling. I had to bury a son, I’ve been through difficult things », she reiterated.
