Morena’s parliamentary group in the Chamber of Deputies confirmed that Saturday, January 31, will be its plenary meeting, one day before the start of the new regular period of sessions, and that it invited the heads of several State Secretariats, as well as other federal officials and leaders of the Guinda party, to this meeting.
At a press conference, the coordinator of the group, Ricardo Monreal, indicated that at 9 a.m. that day the Secretary of the Interior, Rosa Icela Rodríguez, will be present, and at 10:30, the head of Foreign Relations, Juan Ramón de la Fuente, who will talk about “the whole issue we are experiencing, including the trade agreement” with the United States and Canada.
Then, at 12 noon, the Secretary of Economy, Marcelo Ebrard, is summoned, and at 1:30 p.m., the head of the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, Marath Bolaños, “to see about the 40-hour week and the work priorities for this period.”
After lunch – set at 3 p.m. – at 4:30 in the afternoon, the legal advisor of the federal Executive, Esthela Damián Peralta, was summoned; The plenary activities will close at 6 p.m. with the national leadership of Morena.
Separately, the coordinator of the PT deputies, Reginaldo Sandoval Flores, confirmed that the plenary session of his bench will also be on January 31, in a hotel on Paseo de la Reforma, where several officials will attend, including Rosa Icela Rodríguez, whom he considered “very hard-working and efficient.”
