Government rejects Trump's imaginary map and invites us to reaffirm the integrity of the Republic

The national government denounced the dissemination of a graphic montage on social networks that shows the map of the Venezuelan territory – in addition to Canada and Greenland – under the flag of the United States.

The graphic piece released by President Donald Trump is rejected in a statement from the Ministry of the Interior and Justice in which the people are invited to use the entire official map of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela (as shown highlighted in this note) on social media profiles with the phrase “Perfect Union for Venezuela All.”

This new media campaign arises after the foreign military aggression that led to the kidnapping of President Nicolás Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores.

According to the Venezuelan authorities, the objective of the “communication apparatus” is to fracture the unity of the revolutionary forces through digitally manipulated content.

In this regard, the acting president Delcy Rodríguez confirmed that Venezuela maintains its free and sovereign character.

The official emphasized that the State only recognizes diplomatic relations based on mutual respect and international legality, rejecting any attempt at interference or symbolic subordination.
