Since her swearing-in as head of the national Executive, Delcy Rodríguez has made changes in the ministries of Ecosocialism, Communication, Transportation, Health and the Office of the Presidency
The changes continue in the ministerial train. Delcy Rodríguez reported on the night of Monday, January 19, the appointment of Dr. Nuramy Josefa Gutiérrez González, as the new Minister of Health and the appointment of Calixto Ortega as president of the International Center for Productive Investment (CIIP).
On his social networks, Rodríguez highlighted the work carried out by Gutiérrez in the health sector and pointed out that with this new responsibility “he will deepen the health care and protection policies aimed at the people.”
He thanked the outgoing minister Magaly Gutiérrez Viña, who will remain president of the Venezuelan Institute of Social Security (IVSS).
Regarding the appointment of Calixto Ortega as president of the International Center for Productive Investment (CIIP), a position held by Alex Saab, Delcy Rodríguez assured that his “appointment will allow us to continue attracting national and international investments for the national productive system in this stage of economic recovery.”
In her message, the official thanked Álex Saab for the work carried out in the institution.

Changes in the cabinet
Since her swearing-in as head of the national Executive, Delcy Rodriguez He has made several changes in the cabinet. On Monday, January 12, he appointed Captain Juan Escalona, aide-de-camp to the late Hugo Chávez and assistant to Nicolás Maduro, as the Minister of the Office of the Presidency.
That same day, he appointed Vice Admiral Aníbal Coronado, who was in charge of the Office of the President, as the new Minister of Ecosocialism.
And although he assured that Coronado “will continue with the supreme objective of developing ecosocialism as a fundamental strategic line of our revolutionary process for the preservation of the environment,” later – on Friday the 16th – he gave that ministry to Freddy Ñáñez.
Aníbal Coronado moved to the Ministry of Transportation, replacing Ramón Velásquez Araguayán.
That day he also appointed Miguel Pérez Pirela as the new Minister of Communication and Information, replacing Freddy Ñáñez.
On Friday the 16th, Rodríguez also announced the merger of the ministries of Industries and National Production with that of National Commerce. The new instance will be directed by Luis Antonio Villegas, replacing Álex Saab.
