The Dominican Republic ended the fourth quarter of 2025 with just over a third of its households receiving the state subsidy Feed yourselfmonetary transfers that were concentrated in the three main metropolitan areas of the country: Saint DominicNational District and Santiago.
Between October and December of last year, the State transferred 1,435,986 homes the aforementioned social assistance, a figure that represents 38.5% of the country’s households, which amounted to 3,726,936 in the 2022 census.

The data is contained in the statistical bulletin “Supérate in figures”, prepared by the Supérate Directorate of Social Development, and in which it is specified that the transfer, of 1,650 pesos per month, is granted to households classified in extreme and moderate poverty, which implies that each month taxpayers allocate 2,369.3 million pesos only for this social assistance.
Although the number of families receiving Aliméntate was reduced at the end of 2025, in relation to the same period of 2024when 1,494,981 transfers of that aid were registered, the figure continues above those that were granted in 2021 and 2022.
When compared with the 1,327,309 homes who benefited from that contribution in 2021the number of families that received it at the end of last year represents an absolute increase of 108,677, equivalent to 8.2%.
The transfer is directed to eligible households to complement the resources allocated to the food shoppingaccording to a basic basket of prioritized goods in the establishments of the social supply network, in accordance with the institution.
Other subsidies
Between January 1 and December 26, 2025, the Government allocated 68,670.3 million pesos in social assistanceof the 74,082 million pesos budgeted for these purposes for the entire year, according to the weekly records of the General Budget Directorate.
In addition to transfers Feed yourselfthe welfare programs include a financial contribution of 475 pesos per month in Bonusesintended for 1.2 million homes; between 692.33 and 716.78 pesos per month in Bonoluzfor 557,529 families, and support of 10,000 pesos per month for 1,292 affected by gender violence.
Also, 6,000 pesos monthly for 10,561 homes with children and adolescents in situations of severe disability and with ages between zero and 17 years and 21,700 pesos for 66 farming families affected by the eviction of the Valle Nuevo National Parkaccording to data from Get over yourself.
Distribution by provinces
Of the 1,435,986 homes who received transfers from Feed yourself program At the end of last year, 42.6% of these were located in the metropolitan areas of the country: Saint DominicSantiago, National District and San Cristóbal.
These four demarcations totaled 612,374 families benefited from the aforementioned transferthe largest of these being Saint Dominicwhere 305,558 households received this social assistance.
Santiago (109,351), National District (108,146) and San Cristóbal (89,319) continued as the Dominican towns with a greater number of households receiving that transfer.
