He National Social Security Council (CNSS), through the Resolution 628-02arranged the extension of the term of coverage of the medical care derived from traffic accidents for affiliates of the Contributory and Subsidized regimes of the Dominican System of Social security (SDSS).
The measure has been in force since January 16, 2026 and will remain in place until the Law 87-01which creates the Dominican System of Social security. It seeks to ensure the protection of members, avoiding interruptions in the provision of health services.

With this decision, the CNSS guarantees the continuity of health coverage for traffic accidents, reaffirming its commitment to protecting members and safeguarding their right to receive timely medical care, according to the entity issuing a press release.
The resolution establishes that the health risk managers (ARS) and its network of service providers health services (PSS) must provide their affiliated population with the corresponding attention under the same conditions that have been applied.
Maintains per capita
Establishes that the per capita of 32.24 pesos is maintained for the contributory regime and 11.45 pesos for the subsidized one. The coverage established for the National Medical Care Fund by Traffic Accidents (Fonamat) is 60 minimum contributory salaries.
The council instructed the Social Security Treasury to comply with the resolution, in order to carry out the dispersions of the corresponding per capita, in accordance with the established dates and the provisions of the resolution of the CNSS 590-03.
